A New Day.

Today was a new day.

I did very little at work today, but it was nice. I played two complete games of chess without any distractions. It was actually very relaxing and fun to just be focused on a chess game. It doesn't hurt to have good company to play with as well. It actually makes me sad that I don't know where my chess set at work went. We always end up playing online.

So I finally took the plunge today. I spent a ridiculous amount of money on my first ever kobe beef steak. The first bite was underwhelming. I think I expected it to be incredible. However, as I kept eating it got better. There was a point where it seriously felt like I was eating tuna.

But now that I have experienced it, I think I will not try it again for a long time. I mean, that thing was not exactly huge but still a crap load of money. It's definitely not one of those things you would eat on a regular basis.
