So it's been a while. I think I'm starting to make a conscious effort, or at least notice when it's been a while. Prior I just didn't really notice how long time based in between posts.
Recently I've picked up the hobby of painting mice. What I do is lay out a non lethal mouse trap, catch these suckers, spray paint them, then let them breed. It's pretty interesting to see the different color combinations that come out of it...
In actuality a friend and I bought a bunch of used Microsoft mice. The computer kind. We take apart the shell, clean it out, sand it down, then paint away. It's been a slow and very educational process in painting plastic. I took a couple of pictures and I'll find somewhere to put them. But it's been pretty fun.
On top of that, I took a business trip to Razer recently. I ended up getting a free Razer mouse which was pretty cool. I don't think I'll be painting that one though.
But this whole painting mice thing has got me itching to be creative again. I want to write more, write better. I want to make doodles of nonsensical crap. Perhaps it's time to invest in a non lined notebook, a way to document my travels and thoughts... perhaps lack thereof. But really, I have been itching to do something more creative these days.
Perhaps part of me is always not content or happy. Who needs to create more things if all the things in the world please your senses?
I've come to realize at work I don't like to agree with people. Perhaps this is not the wisest career move, especially in such a mob mentality ruled society of corporate goodness that my company is. It's not actually that bad, but people do tend to just follow what they're told. But that has never been the life for me. So I question things, to the best of my ability. Sometimes I push too much I think.
I guess it is kind of vain, but I want to be someone to make an impact in shaping the direction of things. Honestly, I'm not great with details. I don't really care for that stuff. It's about concepts, generality, direction, and strategy for me. Maybe I'm wrong in this case.
