So it's been a while since I actually updated with real content. That blurb about Yahoo! doesn't really count.
Last weekend Mandy and Ming came to visit. It was fun hanging out with them, and it made me realize that family should come first. It's that saying, you don't chose your relatives. So, they are forced to be related to you. Them suckers. This in turn means they are forced to tolerate you.
How much of a contrast is this from other people, who can really just come and go as they please, regardless of how so called painful it is.
It also got me thinking about flowers. Flowers are amazing, beautiful things. But, the moment you try and keep a flower, put it in a vase, it starts to wilt and over time is not the same thing you fell in love with. And yes, you should put them in a pot, but that would take away from the analogy.
So recently... who am I kidding, a few weeks back, I found out one of my friends is working for a hotel management company. You have no idea how excited I was. I love hotels, especially boutique hotels.
I never mentioned it much, but in August or so, I went to Sausalito and stayed at this small little hotel. I think it was something Above The Tide or something, but it was really nice. I liked it a lot.
This past weekend I went to San Diego and stayed in another boutique type hotel called Tower23. This was even better. The surrounding area wasn't as great as Sausalito, but the hotel was so nice. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in hotels, especially boutique hotels.
This is going to be a major jump, but how about those Giants. Wow! Back to back Manning Superbowl wins. That final quarter was one of the best quarters of Superbowl football I have ever seen. To anyhow who wasn't watching, I'm so sorry. Unless you don't care about football, then no worries. But if even have any inkling about football, this is one of those games people will be talking about years to go.
My final discontinuity in thought, I like my car. I was thinking about cars and buying motivations recently. Really, I've been itching to pick up a new Evolution. At first, I wasn't keen on the departure from the jdm look, but it kind of grew on me.
I recently switched my insurance because I'm in a new region. And I have to say, I saved a ton of money on my car insurance. No, not really. I did save some money. But the insurance was already pretty good to begin with.
Also, I like how I can stuff all this stuff in there. Basically, all my furniture I was able to move from Ikea in the back of my gti. Maybe it's me growing up and trying to be somewhat more practical, but I don't see myself sporting around in some sports car. Although, I wouldn't mind. I guess I just think there are more important things to spend money on.
And right, it was rainy while I was in San Diego.
