Gay Cowboy.

So I downloaded Google desktop sidebar thing at work. I can get rss feeds on it, it's better than having to go to Google reader. Although I think the reader is still better for overall everything. I think I've only got CNN on sidebar rss.

So like an hour ago, breaking news was that Heath Ledger died. I don't know why, but it kind of struck me.

I mean, what gives? He was on track to be potentially one of the greatest actors of this generation. You look at his early career where he played that teen hot guy all the girls had a crush on. He could have just milked that for all it's worth. But he made an active decision to break from that mold. No teen senstation would ever consider taking the part of a gay cowboy.

I'll admit, I have yet to see the movie, but I'm sure he did a great job if he got nomiated. Moreover, he just finished filming a role as Joker. That is one of those roles, the totally anti Aquaman role. It's high profile, but you still get to establish credibility.

In the end, he had all this stuff going for him. Sometimes I don't understand these actor types. You've got so much going for you, why throw it away. Then again, we will have to see what the final autopsy report says.

In a related now, that's going to be a fun Batman movie. Christian Bale acting across Heath Ledger. And I'm sorry, as much as I like the fact that Liam Neeson was a jedi, he was not a very exciting villian.
