Bye Bye Theo.

Today I said goodbye to my turtle. Alas, I knew her well.

This morning I took her out of her tank, gave her a good scrubbing down, and set her free. No, just kidding. I donated her to the local pet store. I'm sure they will take good care of her.

I should have taken a picture of her, but I forgot. Although, I don't think I'll forget her. I remember how stupid she seemed when I first got her. Always trying to swim into the glass of her tank. As if she could somehow escape.

She grew a lot over the period of time I had her. Part of it was I fed her a lot at the beginning. A bit too much actually. I think her carapace was like four inches when I got her, but now it's close to eight. So I guess she doubled in size. That's pretty crazy.

I'm kind of sad actually.
