Lagger.

Dude, what's going with our internal kpi tracking system. It's so slow. So slow right now that I have time to blog about nothing and everything at the same time.

So my mom gave me her ipod this morning. I know, pretty random. No complaints here. I sold my old ipod. I was surprised I was able to sell it actually. It was really old. But once again, no complaints.

I was looking up some new on this ipod concept in general. Well, actually a coworker just started talking to me about it. I can't believe they dropped the price of the pretty recently released iphone by two hundred dollars. That is a pretty significant drop. I'd expect maybe like one hundred or something. I guess that's the downside of being the first mover into new toys.

Same thing happened with console releases. I actually expected a larger price drop on Sony's new machine, but it's not here yet. We'll see in the next couple of days.

On top of that, what's with the new ipod looking like an iphone. Obviously missing some functionality, but poor iphone owners. They get screwed over by price and design exclusivity. With that said, new ipod needs a larger capacity. That size is not going to cut it.

I was thinking though, if the new ipod had a camera I would consider jumping on it. I don't care much for phone use and being connected, but if I could have an ipod and camera is one gizmo that would be fun. Maybe they will announce the icamera in a couple of weeks.

Apple is starting to either get worried or greedy. Slowly I think they are screwing over their customers. With their position in the market, I don't think they can afford that. But then again, I guess the average income level of their customers implies they can afford to buy updated and new models on a regular basis.

I think one of the major problems lies in the celebrity status associated to Apple products. We all know consumer electronic manufacturers such as Sony, Samsung, and the likes produce new models of their television or appliances every year. But it's not surrounded in such huge hype that is attracts attention. I mean, you don't really know you have the outdated Samsung television. But you will know you have an outdated ipod or even iphone.

so true...i'm secretly laughing in the face of the iphone adopters, esp those in europe who paid a premium to buy them, only to realize that what they bought is essentially an ipod touch at four times the cost -- those idiots.
