Alice.

The other day I played American McGee's Alice. This was actually like many months ago, but I just thought about it. I've always been a fan of motifs and stuff. It's funny how many things in the past influence things in the future. Alice's impact on the Matrix is pretty profound.

I watched The Princess Bride yesterday actually. I'd seen is multiple times already, but Moon never saw it so we ended up watching it. I would never have noticed it at the time, but it really feels like Shrek took a lot of motif, feelings, and random concepts from this moving. Andre the Giant? Random Spaniard swordsmen? Evil Prince?

A little bit of random trivia actually, Vince or Vinnie or whatever his name is was actually the voice of Mr. Incredible's boss. At least I think so. I know, Pixar and Dreamworks are not the same, but random connections. Coincidence? I think not, well maybe.

Also finally saw Transformers. All I have to say is underwhelming. Eye candy galore on so many levels, but please. Give me something more. I think I expected more from something that was such a big part of my childhood. It did it's job being a summer blockbuster though, but not what I wanted. I actually think Live Free or Die Hard was a better movie than Transformers. Yes, I will go on record saying that. I think I grow tired of cgi action.

Speaking of which, I watched Top Gun, or most of it, last night also. I wonder how much of that was green screened. Regardless, real still holds its appeal over fake. I dislike fakeness.

Now that I've finished my diatribe about nonsensical things, maybe I should talk about something serious. Maybe next time.

See they don't make movies like Top Gun or the Princess Bride anymore. I think the 80's had the best movies.
