Cinco.

Today was Cinco De Mayo. And I was not a lush.

Instead I went to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Apparently of Bank of America customers get free admission to select museums this month. So a bunch of us took advantage of this. It was nice because there was Picasso exhibit going on. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't help but feel a little bit of disgust for American art.

This is definitely a generalization, and I know there are many types of American art. But just seeing the art that was inspired by Picasso, it just seemed to pale in comparison to Picasso himself. I'm not some art buff so my opinions will probably be quite off based. I guess I always understood that Picasso was one of the most famous artists around, but until today I never appreciated what a genius he really was. It was quite amazing to see some of his stuff.

Afterwards we grabbed lunch on Maiden Lane and then I headed home. I got distracted by a street musician. I think I stood there for a good half hour. Then I started heading to my car and got distracted by making a phone call. It's exciting, but I wonder why I get myself in situations that I know have a low probability of working out in the end. I'm a sucker for pain and suffering perhaps.

So I finally made my way home and now am in the process of rearranging my room again. Fun times.
