I don't know why people say that. There is always an analogy between women and cars. I think it's so not true.
I took my boss to the airport today, and on the way back I got to drive his mercedes benz e55 amg. Quite a car. I think of the most expensive cars I've been responsible for in my limited experience. Even so, I found myself staring at a subaru impreza wrx sti in the rear view mirror.
So what does this have to do with my earlier statement? I actually had an impreza, a few months back. I sold it and got myself into a vw gti. I love the vw gti. It's such a fun little car, and I very to have it at this point in my life. But I think one day I will go back to subarus. I will always love subarus, but I just wanted to enjoy other things out there also.
Not the case with women. One time in college, during some rocky periods of my relationship, Katherine suggested I date other people to see what else is out there. I didn't go for it. I will always love Katherine, and I don't need to enjoy other things out there.
So women are not like cars.
I could also take the other route, and say that no women worth having would tolerate you switching to only come back to her. But that is a bit negative of a view isn't it?
I have been quite frustrated the last few days. I think it is a combination of age and life. I want to make a difference in everything I touch, and the older I get the less likely I will. Maybe. Frustration abounds.
