Torrential Rain.

Yesterday was some crazy rain. It was coming in at a forty five degree angle. It was kind of fun, but a bit dangerous. I saw two car accidents on my way from San Jose to go visit Katherine in Mountain View. They were pretty bad too. On top of that, this was at a random hour of one in the in afternoon. It wasn't like at rush hour or anything. So yeah, dangerous. I'm glad I put on mew wipers the other day.

For those who have read The Purpose Driven Life, doesn't it concluded that what you do as an occupation doesn't matter. Like, after reading it I got the impression that God doesn't have a specific plan for what occupation you end up with. But this is somewhat contrary to what Christians believe in, that God has already laid out a plan. Maybe I just read it wrong, but that minute detail puzzled me. Either how, the big points are still the same. God does have a purpose for your life, whether you believe it or now.

I guess the way to reconcile this is to say that you need a specific occupation to fulfill that purpose. I don't necessarily agree with that, but it would reconcile the difference.

I've been watching a lot of Top Gear recently. That show is great. It's like Automobile magazine turned into a TV show with witty humor. And before you say anything, I know there is a Top Gear magazine. But I don't like paying uber moneys to get an imported publication. So yeah, I like how they are about the cars, and not aboug modding them. It's really nice to see how they appreciate the ideal of a car as a whole, not just parts. More refreshing is they don't showcase a bajillion trucks on the show. That's what I enjoy most about Automobile magazine, they don't care about SUV's and trucks that much.

Tonight is the Google Winter Party, Holiday Party or what not. Should be fun. It's sometimes quite weird hanging out with Katherine's coworkers. I feel like an outsider a lot of the time. Oh well. I'm there for her, not them.
