Calculators.

That's right. Calculators. I have in my possession four calculators. I feel like an uber nerd now. And I don't even own a graphing calculator. That's kind of funny actually, if you think of it from a normal standpoint. An Applied Mathematics major without a graphing calculator.

So I have this Casio fx-300SA. Just a generic scientific calculator that I've had since who knows. At least ten years. It's seen me through almost all my standardized testing. But then I had to purchase a TI-30X IIS because my Casio wasn't on the approved list of calculators for the Actuarial Examinations. So just another generic scientific calculator. Then I got my first financial calculator. The HP 12C Plantinum. This thing is a monster. By far it's my favorite calculator, and the funny thing is it's so good it is almost unchanged from the original one that was introduced in the 1980's. How great is that? And it seems to be an industry standard, however it's not on the list either. So I then bought a TI BAII Plus. So that is four, all without having a graphing calculator.

In general, I never like graphing calculators. The only one I wold even consider getting is the TI-89. That thing is the mother of all graphing calculators. It can do definite and indefinite integrals. A computer that can do indefinite integrals. That is just crazy. It's not like it's something you can approximate. I am just very amazed by that.

Onto less nerdy things. Test time is coming up, and I am very unprepared. It's hard to mantain focus sometimes, like right now. Time to kick it in gear. I had some first rounds everything last two weeks. I had three interviews and three midterms. Hopefully I did alright on all of them. We will see.
