Stories & Weaknesses.

So I just got through watching Big Fish. I had no idea it was directed by Tim Burton.

At the end of the day, I really liked the movie. I think it's all about stories. Not the story of the movie per say, but just the fact that there were stories in the movie. I think I have a things for stories. I like hearing stories.

I think there is a lot of power in stories. Stories carry on the memory of adventures and times long past. It's such a powerful way of documenting things and sharing them with the rest of the world. Sometimes I feel there is a writer inside of me that wants to share with the world some amazing story with some valuable lesson. But then I realize stories aren't about lesson. I wonder if the great writers of stories, the teller of adventures really cared about a lesson. Perhaps it's because the lesson adds to the ending, and it's all about the ending.

I guess I'm just rambling here, but something about that movie really resonated with me on a very core level. I have this insane desire to hear more stories.
