So, I've been meaning to make a post for a couple of days now, but I just never got around to it. Life, or work specifically, is keeping me pretty busy these last couple of weeks. There was one point, I calculated it and I had two days off in the last twenty six or so days. Indeed.
So, on to my title. I did see Dark Knight, and it was one of the best movies I've seen in a so so long time. Heath Ledger does a seriously amazing job playing Joker. He makes Jack Nicholas look like a toy clown. No joke. It's really sad to think the world has lost an actor of that quality and caliber.
Please be advised though, this is not for all audiences. If you go in expecting a light hearted, entertaining super hero movie you will be disappointed. This movie is pretty dark by those standards. But it is also really deep. Anyone who does to watch it, I suggest you take the time and think about all those themes that are going on in the movie. I was seriously blown away.
Obviously, there is some area of criticism especially towards the end. But it doesn't make a dent in how great I thought this movie was.
With the recent end of a key movie review duo, maybe I should will the spot. My first recommendation would be Dark Knight for this year.
In other news, I did get an iPhone. I couldn't pass on a sub three bill web enabled phone. I ended up needing it for work. I'm not on this leash that would have been tied with a Blackberry, but I opted to just get myself and iPhone.
I really am not any expert to give it any good review or anything, but it looks sexy and works like and iPhone. I do believe that third party applications is where it will succeed though. I've seen a few good ones already. I've even used them on many circumstances. Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder how people survive without the internet at their fingertips. Oh how I've changed.
And finally, the highlight of this post. Anyone who has been around the internet, or at least internet culture for a while knows what it means to get Rick Rolled. For those that don't know, please follow the link below.
I want to be Rick Rolled.
It's kind of a running gag among the internet. Well, I got Rick Rolled by KTLA Morning News. I was in the gym, working out and just watching the news. And bam, they started playing the song.
Maybe it's more funny to me since I'm part of that culture.
Off to Vegas in two weeks for a return to fighting games.

it was amazing, and i totally agree with your assessment. It was a legitimately GREAT movie because of all the darkness and character depth/internal struggles. And I like the "dent" pun you threw in there.
However, I thought it really climaxed when they had that 'choose you you want to save" part...and afterwards I had a hard time building back up to that.
isn't internet everywhere awesome? How did we ever live without it...
Dude, I hope they are compensating you for all those hours.
