There And Back.

It's been a long time since my last update. I guess the routine of it all hasn't gotten back to me yet.

So Barcelona was freaking amazing. Seriously, if I had the dough to buy some place there, I would do it and just move there. Pick up some random job and just enjoy life. I totally went wanting to see this idea of what is means to live in Europe. I don't know if I got the right impression, but just the atmosphere is so different from being in the United States.

I've brought this up a couple of times, but there is the idea of the American Dream. I have come to believe it is a farce. I mean, it's still there. But it is glorified more than it should be. I think this is a kind of a sociological diatribe, but just something that I have been thinking about recently.

So, the only thing I wish I had a chance to do in Barcelona was watch a bull fight. Totally pull a Hemingway there. And yes, I would have considered running with the bulls, but I could have just ended up like the statistical American that gets run over.

Off to Paris, and we totally played the tourist. But it's Paris, so that's part of the fun. And what the goodness, the Louvre is huge. Mona Lisa is overrated and stuck behind a wall of glass. But still, so much art in that little city.

I don't really have to go on about it, Paris is everything everyone always say it is. But the one thing I was able to due, I took a picture with a soldier holding a FA-MAS. I should have asked if I could hold it, but I'm not sure that would have been acceptable.

In recent news, Coldplay album dropping soon. I am half contemplating going to one of their concerts. I totally would... if it was nearby. But no, not nearby at all. Closest one is Vegas. I even thought about San Jose. But, I guess it will be better to same some money and go next time when it's closer.
