Tomorrow is an early day, and so I should be sleeping. But for some reason I can't. It was pretty unintentional, but I think I just took a stroll down memory lane. Is being so called wiser a consolation prize to missed opportunities?
Tomorrow one project I've been working on finally comes to a launch. It's nothing new really. I've had many projects come to fruition. This is the nature and speed of my sector I suppose. At least for the service side of things. But this work flow got me thinking about things.
So I'm not sure which one comes first in the flow, aspirations or inspirations. It's easy to say inspiration. But I actually think it's more important to have the inspiration after the aspiration. Great ideas fall and die by the millions due to lack of execution. Once you have your goal, you need to know how to achieve it. Moreover, you have to achieve it better than anyone else.
So I guess it's a sandwich; inspire, aspire, inspire again.
Regardless, the evil tail end always raises it's head. Things have to be compromised, negotiated. Usually due to schedule constraints or resource limitations.
So I wonder, is life like that?
I'm pretty much just rambling on. I've been thinking about buying a bunch of random crap. I thought about getting into photography. Jonathan is seriously inspiring. When I see the stuff he does, it makes me want to try it. Although I don't think I'm ready for slr yet. I was actually thinking about a Nikon that still lets you control aperture and shutter speed. Honestly, that would be enough for me to play around with for a while.
But then it makes me want to purchase Aperture 2.0. Ironically, I have a copy of Lightroom at work, but I haven't installed it. But I don't think my laptop will be able to run Aperture 2.0 at optimum levels. So I would need to buy ram also.
I even thought about a Playstation 3. I don't get it. I've been pretty good about not spending money, but then this bug just suddenly bit me. It all started with new shoes and new sunglasses.
