Fricassee.

Ever hear that saying? If at first you don't suceed; try, try again. I remember reading some book and someone gave it a twise. If at first you don't fricassee; fry, fry again.

So I didn't fricassee, but I did try twice yesterday to write something. But nothing came to mind. It wasn't until late last night that something crossed my path, literally.

I was driving home, and out of nowhere this cat decides to jump in front of my car. Really odd because animals usually run away from oncoming cars. It actually takes effort to run over a cat, not that I did. I slowed down and the cat finally got out of the way. I thought to myself, what a retarded cat. But how wrong I was. At this point, I'm half expecting some crazy situation involving the cat. And if I were hitting the pipe, it would definitely make for a good story.

But the cat just skittered away as if nothing happened. My retarded cat opinion changed into I wish I was the cat. Come on, he had the guts to run in front of a moving car and make me change my path. Not to sound arrogant or something, but I'm pretty sure my car would have destroyed that cat had we met head on.

Even so, the cat still did it. I'm not saying I want to jump in front of moving cars, but I think I need to take more risks like that. Be willing to get in the way of something and make it change it's path. Risk it all to make an impact.

So in the end, that cat wasn't that retarded after all. Ok, maybe a little.
