Who remembers that song by Tag Team? Whoomp there it is. Whoomp there it is.
So I got tagged by Ming, but I don't feel like playing this game. Tagging more people. What gives. It's like those emails in high school, the bajillion question survey ones. But yeah, I will oblige and answer the questions, but no tagging other people.
So I'm basically suppose to list five songs I'm digging right now. I'll do better and give reasons why.
More Than It Seems - Kutless. Inspired by the upcoming Narnia movie. It sounds so hopeful and glorious. Starts off low key with a violin I think, and then the guitar chords in. The lyrics really speak to me. "Where is reality? What are the actions that will define who I am? I am holding onto the visions I've seen of what I can be. It's what I should be." Go read my post post reading Narnia and you will understand.
Sugar, We're Going Down - Fall Out Boy. College rock at its best. Very generic sounding to be honest. But it's good. What other song do you know that uses the word mausoleum. It automatically gets props in my book for that. A good to pretend you are a rock start to.
Fix You - Coldplay. It's Coldplay, need I say more? Video is awesome. Live performance of this song is insane. I mean insanely awesome. That light bulb is brilliant. Absolute brilliance.
Goodnight Goodnight - Hot Hot Heat. This is one of those really catchy songs that you find youself bopping to. Yes, I do find myself bopping to it when I listen to it in the car.
Wake Me Up When September Ends - Green Day. So this track is kind of old. But it only started getting a lot of radio play the last few months. First off, it comes from one of the best albums I've heard in a while. American Idiot is such a great album. Many times I have contemplated buying it, even after it had been out for so long. It starts out mellow with vocals and guitar strumming, none of that just chords crap. A soft drumming bass joins quickly, but doesn't overwhelm. Then midway it gets a mature Green Day sound. A lot of talk has been going around how Green Day has come full circle and totally matured as a band, especially in the Bay Area where they originated. This song totally shows it.
So there are my five for now.
Did you realize itunes doesn't let you watch music videos for free now? Stupid iPod video.
