There was an article in the newspaper a few months back. It talked about recent graduates, all about my age. The article referred to us as the entitled generation. I was thinking about it, and it is true. Recent graduates, especially these days, feel like they are entitled to a lot of priviledges and benefits as an employee of a firm. But more often than not, they do not show the same level of commitment and loyalty those entitlements should come with. I find it kind of sad.
I think part of me feels this way though. Which I don't really like. But I have to be honest and admit that part of me does think this way. But at the same time, the majority of me feels the other way because I hate thinking that I am entitled. Far from it, I am not entitled to anything.
This morning on my way to work, I was listening to the radio. To my surprise, I find out you can get free screening tickets to see Stealth two exits away from where I was. So I go check it out and I get my tickets. They had to sticker my car, but I undid it when I got to work. Unfortunately, Katherine and I had dinner plans so were unable to go see the movie. I just found it neat that I was literally right there when I heard the announcement.
